2015 Create a series of candle holders, for selection and use in rituals in a weekly mens' group.

2015  US Paper clay workshops and symposium The Clay Studio, PA and Harvard University, MA, USA
 
2013-15 create outdoor seats from paper and spokes. Artist in Residence, at Tranby College. 

2012-15: Two, two metre high ceramic iHeads. Construction from over 1200kg paper clay for Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe 

2014: Dublin Biennial, Ireland, 12-22 June. Construct, ship, and exhibit 2m high ceramic and paper works. Panel member and performance.

2012-15: Printing 3D ceramic objects Mechanical modification of a 3D plastic printer.

2013: Florence Biennale. Design create, ship and exhibit three, 1.5 high porcelain sculptures that pack down to 20 x 30 x 15 cm and weight less than 7kg.

2013 Spring Fever Conference, Queensland.  Demonstrating and exhibiting with Lana Wilson (USA), Royce McGlashen (NZ), Mitsuo Shoji (NSW) and Greg Crowe (WA). 

2012: Australian Ceramics Triennale. Demonstrator, presented paper and member of "Looking outside the box" panel. Exhibit part recyclable vase.

2012: Participate in "121212 Flash Mob" an artists performance/installation/video with Alba Cinquini and friends. 

2011: International Ceramics Symposium, Sweden. Demonstrated, presented a paper and exhibited.

2011: Studio exhibition at Riseborough Estate Winery and Gallery, Gingin, WA

2010: USA Paperclay Today International Symposium Co-lead, demonstrated, presentation, consultant on invitation and selection of artists. Recorded, collated images, produced and distribute 4 DVD documentation of event to all demonstrators.

2009: Levitating kiln on Beach to create large mobile. Falcon Beach, Mandurah Stretch Festival

2009: Create two sculptures for the WA State Library. I was given permission by Librarians to drill holes through Harry Potter and dozens of childrens' books!

2009: Sculpture by the Sea. Construct large (300kg) compressed sculptures for installation outside on a Beach for two weeks.

2008: Co-lead First USA Paper clay Conference, demonstrating and presenting techniques and work. Collated images and produced visual documentation of this Potters Council event.

2008: Guide a dozen artists to use 2 tonne of paper clay to create huge sea inspired sculptures.

2008: Awesome Children's Festival, Leonora D. H. School. 10 days of making art out of food within a geographically isolated school, with fellow artists in Residence Fiona Gavino and Lauren Simpson.

2008: Build two metre high fungi infected paper BioArt sculptures, understory forest sculpture walk, Northcliffe,  W. Australia. 

2008: Build a 5,000 book brain cell in a  library.

2008: Create Street Art / Mural Ada De Leeuw Barrister & Solicitor Graffiti inspired mural for private residency

2007: 1st Nordic Paperclay Symposium and workshop, presented paper, demonstration, designed and lead the group project. Collated DVD documentation of event.

2006: A month long residency at the peak Art School in Pakistan, at the National College of Arts in Lahore.

2004: Co-lead First International Paperclay Symposium, held at the International Ceramic Studio in Kecskemet, Hungary. Demonstrated, presented talk, assisted, exhibited, co-lead discussions. Collated images an provided CD documentation of event to each participant.

2001-3 Public Art: Town of Vincent: designed triple drinking fountain and 5m long park seating through community workshops with young people.

2000: International Paper Clay Plus Conference, Scotland. Exhibited, demonstrated and participate in 1st UK paper clay book launch.

1998: 4 ton of paperwork sculpture in Australian High Court Foyer, Canberra.

This website was first created to share information on paper clay, as it was not widely available.  This was before textbooks and when there were only a few scattered journal articles.  It grew into the documentation of art projects and listing of upcoming learning opportunities.   It is a symbolic “thank you” to the many thousands who participated in events I led, who shared so generously their techniques and personal stories.  This enriched both myself and ultimately my future students.  Ultimately it is a gift to the next generation of potters, artists and art students.  I hope it inspires you, informs you and provides an example of the sort of creative journey you have or are about to begin.
