CHRISTINE DYER
Statement:
In this body of work I have used traditional elements of design, colour, and materials to draw notice to the often overlooked or unseen interior.
To this effect I have used blue and white to symbolize old china, and crotchet, lace work and glass beads to represent the forgotten ‘arts’ of yesteryear. These ‘arts’, which often arose out of necessity or ’making do’, are the inspiration for this series.
