Details on the artistsChristine Dyer works with the juxtaposition of hard/soft using a wide range of materials including clay, rope, steel, feathers and cloth to produce sculptural forms. Graham Hay compresses and carves donated magazines, art journals and reports into solid "knowledge objects". He also creates "organisational objects", from paper clay - the merging of ceramic and paper technology and aesthetics.Click here for images and details
Dee Jaeger says "The female figure is the central subject of my works in clay. I aim to express something of the contemporary 'female condition' in response to my own environment and representation of the female form from art history." Click here for images and details.
Bill Jeffrey uses bronze as a medium for his sculpture, with these works he endeavours to illustrate the link between the mind that thinks and the body that feels - Memory, sight, thoughts, - the watcher influences what is seen as the artist-the artist watches the watchers. Irene Poulton presents more of her tall multicoloured ceramic figures. For this exhibition she explores the Rite of Passage, the movement of an individual from one state to another as we prepare for a particular "role". Click here for images and details.
