B&F

B&F
201523
Material: Ceramic porcelain paper clay, iron-chromium-aluminium wire, enamel paint.
330x450x300mm
Photo: Victor France
Exhibited: Epochs, Robertson Park Artists Studio, 2015.

Description
The artwork is titled and "B&F".

The work measures approximately 7 inches or 20 cm high, 17 inches or 45 cm wide, 11 inches or 28 cm deep.

The artwork  consisting of over 100 white/porcelain and terracotta coloured spheres each measuring approximately 1 inch or 2 1/2 cm diameter, connected together with short 2 1/2 inch or 5 cm metal rodss, in a semi random pattern.  Some of the spheres appear to be partly cracked.

It may remind the viewer of a chemical compound (graphic representation of a molecular structure) from high school.

Upon closer examination there appears to be a consistent pattern of small clusters of three to five spheres attached on all extremities of the sculpture. Similarly the centre of the Sculpture appears to be gatherings of larger clusters of six to ten spheres.  Upper sphere are white, while the  lower spheres are predominantly terracotta coloured, suggesting a progression of difference, or change, in either direction.
