AN EXHIBITION OF CERAMICS, GLASS AND METAL WORK

Picture
THE BRIDGE GALLERY 197 William St. Perth Western Australia 2nd to 17th October, 1992

Picture
Anatasia BRADLEY
Aspiring as friend and fiend of youth. I am exploring and seeking compliancy on a personal and existing essence. I incessantly find myself plagued with images, faces and feelings of the past, thrusting into my present and future. By producing some of these images, I am leaving behind as tombstone of my past.
Picture
Pauline BURNETT
My objective is to present contrast between reflective and non-reflective surfaces.
Picture
Michelle BUSHBY
The genre I am currently involved in requires the development of techniques associated with medium of glass, enabling the exploration of the concepts considered.

Picture
HEYBOD
Seeking balance of social and self-expression with ethical and economic viability, in effective and interesting structures, "Heybod" is a left hand spin on non-wheel ceramics, focused on form, designed and created by Graham Hay. Ph: 328 7592
Picture
Dee JAEGER
As a relative newcomer to ceramics my interest lies in experimentation with the clay medium. So far my work has been in both vessel and sculptural forms, expressing personal, environmental and also purely fanciful concepts.
Picture
Bill JEFFERY
I prefer my work to be thought provoking, to have veiled directives, subconscious associations, a recall of veiled thoughts which create a vision in thought rather than reality, to provide social symbols and create public discourse.

Picture
Fiona KENNEDY
Experimentation; this is the basis of my work so far. Experimenting with many different techniques which I can build upon when focusing on more sculptural pieces in the future.
Picture
Kim M. LEE
My work over the past two and a half years has involved an exploration of creating various objects, using a variety of decorations (including Chinese calligraphy on large pots,) and different firings to get different effects.
Picture
Penny LINDSAY
It's not the object itself that counts for me; it's about what it stands for. If it works, then that is its meaning.
Picture
Stewart SCAMBLER
Clay is spiritual in nature. The boundaries of expression with this material are being extended by intellectual and technological involvement. I am presently trying to retain spiritually whilst increasing the intellectual component of my work.
Picture
Zofia SLEZIAK
Investigating clay reflects my desire to provoke the eye and lead the viewer into a landscape built of textural planes.
Picture
Alexis STEWART
I feel like an explorer, venturing into a new mysterious world. The medium of glass is uncharted territory for me, so at present, I am experimenting and enjoying the challenge of the medium.
Picture
Sally Jane YOUNG
Using the clay as my canvas and bringing it to life with the energy of vibrant colour in everyday objects is my goal. At present it is the journey through experimentation, which excites.
