10am-4pm Sunday 27 March Raku with paper clay workshop at Robertson Park Artists Studio (https://www.robparkart.info/studio.html ).
The workshop size will be small (probably 6) for covid and fire safety reasons. If the workshop is unable to run on this date, it will be rescheduled in consultation with those enrolled.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raku_ware documents the rich history and evolution of this excieting process, or use Google images for images and video of the process.
Prior to the workshop please prepare and have kiln fired a few thin walled stoneware works.
For safety reason covered shoes, sun/glasses and a P2 bushfire level protect dust mask are compulsory, with cotton jeans and long sleeve shirts also strongly suggested.
The group will pause for lunch and recap at a local cafe (V and GF options).
The workshop will be led by ceramic artist Graham Hay https://www.grahamhay.com.au who has exhibited and taught in a dozen countries including co-led a paper clay and raku workshop with Korean raku artist Kim Young Soo , in Kolkata, India in 2019.
