mid-January 2020 News
In the studios
With no-one else working in either of my two studios, I’m flat-out making and reading. For social stimulus I'm listening to clay post casts, posting my zig-zag progress on Instagram, and chatting to other's in a similar situation. This is my traditional January practice as I generate the beginning of new works and direction, without the distraction of teaching. Drop over and say “hi”.

20219 Studio exhibition wrap up
On my to-do list this month is to edit the videos of studio artists’ talks, from the Robertson Park Artists Studio Decompression, exhibition of held at Holmes à Court Gallery@No.10, in December last year. When done I’ll put links from here. If you want a taste of the paper clay inspired contemporary dance by WAAPA student choreographer Isabel Wartmann, with dancers Karlia Cook and Isobelle Collie, or to be alerted when they are all edited and uploaded (final artist's and dance video), follow my twitter.
As I'm still in holiday mode, I and most of the Robertson Park studio artists have yet to write up our short summation of 2019 and plans for 2020, to be included in the annual 1 page newsletter. Once done, it’ll go up here. So If you visit that webpage, use the popup that appears to sign up to receive this annual one page newsletter as an email. Hopefully by then I’ll know which of the China, Lapland and NZ projects will be going ahead!
2020 Studio Classes
Established in 1998, my studio based classes continue in 2020.
I now know how many previous students are continuing, so have posted gaps for new students here.
No gaps left or you don’t want to start immediately? Just click on any class, and then try to book in. Then click on the small faint grey eye icon (near the "book now” or "Buy a Gift Card” button), to get an email alert for future new student gaps.
Perth Studio: Paper Clay Introduction and Master classes
Every three or so months I run a one day paper clay workshop within my space in Robertson Park Artists Studio, in inner city Perth. These are either a fun introduction to paper clay, or a one day master class especially for people already using paper clay or experienced with conventional clay. Link to this and enrolment for both is here.

All the best in 2020!
