April 2020 News
2020 Studio Classes
As at 23 March 2020 my studio based classes (est. 1998) are paused while I relocate my studio to my home and setup video classes for interested current students. They are texting me a day before picking up their fired and incomplete work and extra clay from the studio. Occasional a few gaps for new online students will eventually appear again here. These classes are always small (studio and now online) so individual support is always available. For over a decade ongoing students have been able to easily pause and resume attendance regardless of the reason.
2019 Studio Newsletter
The latest Robertson Park studio artists annual short newsletter has been posted here. Use the popup there to sign up to receive this as an email in the future. A fuller summary of my own activities in my blog.
I’ve declined an invitation to exhibit in China and Finland, and unsure if a project may go ahead in later 2020 in NZ. An invitation to give a Vienna workshop will have to wait until the global situation stabilises.
With the slow down in overseas and other projects, I hope to be able to focuss on studio making, data processing, reading and writing. The paperwork following my second Milestones review is completed.

20219 Studio exhibition wrap up
My work and ideas inspired WAAPA student choreographer Isabel Wartmann, with dancers Karlia Cook and Isobelle Collie, to workshop together over three months. They created a collaborative contemporary dance presented during the artists talk afternoon at the December exhibition. A sample of the final performance at the Holmes à Court Gallery@No.10, in December last year is now online here.
