First International Paperclay Symposium "Paperclay - firing fibres"
The First International Paperclay Symposium "Paperclay - firing fibres", was held at the International Ceramic Studio in Kecskemet, Hungary 8-28 August 2004. 19 artists from 12 countries participated in creating studio work, discussions, demonstrations, an open day and exhibition.
The Symposium Guest Artists were Graham Hay (NZ/Australia) and Rosette Gault (USA).
The other 17 Symposium participants were: Jerry Bennett (USA), Krittiya Chunhashevachlock (Thailand), Edit Csehi (Hungary), Margit Gerle (Hungary). Astrid Heimer (Norway), Laszlo Horvath (Hungary), Kornelia Janisch (Hungary), Anjani Khanna (India), Gabriella Kuzsel (Hungary), Elisabeth LeRetif (France), Julia Nema (Hungary) Jiri Lonsky (USA), Tina Neale (UK), Malene Pedersen (Denmark), Pirjo Pesonen (Finland), Maria Gelabert Tana (Spain), Sandra Torres (Mexico/US).
In addition to over 20 presentations and slideshows, demonstrations, an Open Day for Hungarian Ceramic Artists, discussions, there was an exhibition of works created at the International Ceramic Centre during the 3-week Symposium.
